The Stables Horse Activity Centre
We are a Centre offering very different opportunities for people with disabilities, disadvantaged children and families. The main group based at The Stables is people with learning and physical disabilities, but this does not get in their way of proving their worth and value in Society. This group of people are responsible for the care of the horses and assisting other people to ride the horses. This group of people also assist able-bodied clients and people experiencing mental health problems - we cater for all. In the 8 years of operating we have now built 20 stables, a work area, fenced 3 fields and never turned anyone away irrespective of their disability or behaviour that challenges. We receive limited financial backing. This has all been achieved by people's support and commitment to this project - a project that everyone who participates in owns. Supporters are always welcome and encouraged to visit and observe our work at first hand. We are proud of what we have achieved and have ideas on what could be achieved with the support and assistance from other people. Riding lessons are held every Saturday morning throughout the year We have a range of horses to suit all sizes and abilities Fundraising is a key part of our

are always very busy and keep everyone up-to-date with our regular newsletters We have a full range of quality merchandise at reasonable prices

"Horse Care" qualification.
